Polish photographer Tomasz Gudzowaty has made a name of himself through his documentation of rare sports that involve player of all ages. These images depict a striking humanity, as if delving deep into each individual personality against the backdrop of each particular sport

Tomasz Gudzowaty (born 1971) has won top honours at a number of the most important photographic competitions including World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year 2011 and NPPA Best of Photojournalism.

Beyond the Body refers to the images shown as part of the exhibition at the ZPFAF Gallery in Warsaw, presenting photographs taken between 2008-2010, previously shown in Budapest. It takes the form of a photographic essay of rites and rituals rooted in ethnography and culture against the shifting backdrop of an evolving global culture. The exhibiton is on at the ZPFAF Gallery in Warsaw (Pl. Zamkowy 8) between the 6th of February - 3rd of March, 2012.
