The I, CULTURE Orchestra Project led by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute has been nominated for MocArty RMF Radio listeners' award in the 2011 Event of the Year category

The MocArty public poll was launched by RMF Radio in 2010, with the aim of recognising persons and institutions of significant merit in the field of culture. The RMF Radio's prize takes into account exclusive as well as popular artistic events, film music, as well as design and new technology projects. The MocArty prize is awarded in four different categories: Person of the Year, Event of the Year, Film Music of the Year and Thing with Class. RMF Radio listeners vote for the winners in an open poll which launched on the www.rmfclassic.pl website on the 23rd of January, 2012.

The voting page is not available in English, however Google Chrome's translation options can help voters from abroad navigate the field, which requires a vote in each category, a reason behind the vote and the voter's home address and email as there is a lottery of prizes for randomly chosen voters. The award ceremony will be held in Warsaw on the 22nd of February, 2012.

Other nominees in the Event of the Year category include the Rok Kobiet / Women's Year project from the Teatr Wielki from Poznań, Łódź Design Festival 2011, Transatlantyk 2011 Film and Music Festival  in Poznań and the opening of the MOCAK Contemporary Art Centre in Kraków.

This year, the Polish Cultural Programme of the EU Council was also recognised with a nomination for Anda Rottenberg in the Person of the Year category. Ms. Rottenberg was the curator of the exhibition entitled "Side by Side. Poland-Germany. 1000 years of Art and History", which was presented between the 23rd of September and the 9th of January in Berlin.

The Director of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Paweł Potoroczyn received the Person of the Year nomination for the Polska! Year project which promoted Polish art and culture across the UK.
