Ryszard Groblewski, altoviolist, was born in Warsaw in 1983 and started to play at the age of 7.

He is studying with Piotr Reichert at the Music Academy of Warsaw. He has been playing in Poland, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Spain. He was a laureate of the 2nd Prize of the ARD Munich in 2004.

In November 2005, he won the first prize at the very prestigious 60th Geneva International Music Competition (more...) dedicated to Viola. Ryszard Groblewski impressed the Jury by his perfect master of viola for his young age and his perfect musicality and so until the end of the competition despite tiredness and stress. He also won the Audience Prize.
