Sławomir Mrożek, "Small Letters"
languages: Polish  / English  / German

The collection of sketches entitled "Small Letters" were begun in 1974, when the author, who had already been living in France for some year, was awarded a two-year scholarship in West Berlin. He continued writing them until 1982 and published the individual sketches as a series in the monthly periodical "Dialog". In this new edition, the sketches are published as a complete collection in book form for the first time.

Sławomir Mrożek (b.1930) is probably the most widely performed contemporary Polish playwright both in Poland and abroad; in Poland, he was one of the country's most widely read writers for many years. His work has been translated into a dozen languages.
